The Victoria Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 3679, has been proudly chartered since 1996 and has maintained continuous affiliation with the IAFF. We have also been associated with the Texas State Association of Firefighters.

It is a privilege to play a role in the numerous successes our union has achieved on behalf of our members. Every day, our firefighters bravely report to fire stations across our city, prepared to risk their lives for the citizens and visitors they may have never met. As a highly trained and proficient fire department, they consistently deliver exceptional service and efficiently use taxpayers’ dollars.

As a labor organization, we have not only overcome numerous challenges but also played a significant role in the growth of our city. Our resilience and unity have been key in this journey. We work closely with our fire administration, the city management team, and the city council, standing united through countless struggles. As the largest community in the Golden Crescent region, we have the outstanding opportunity to provide exceptional fire protection and EMS care, as well as specialized services such as technical rescue, hazmat, and swift water rescue to our community residents and visitors.

Serving as the president of our esteemed union has been an unexpected but rewarding opportunity. I am immensely proud of the men and women who have entrusted me and our executive board to represent our members. The backing of each member is crucial. It empowers Local 3679 to be a resounding voice for fair wages, benefits, working conditions, and employee rights for all Victoria firefighters. Our solidarity and mutual support make us a robust and impactful union.

Rest assured, any Victoria firefighter you encounter is undeniably one of the finest in our field. They are dedicated professionals who will spare no effort to assist you when needed, reflecting our union's unwavering commitment to service and safety.

Sincerely,

Dustin Ferguson

President
